According to the latest research by Interbrand, the five most valuable brands in the world in 2020 are all technology companies.
The annual report was based on an in-depth analysis of the major global brands conducted between June and September 2020. The researchers determined brand valuation based on three key areas: financial return, role of brand in purchasing decision-making, and brand loyalty.
Apple will be the most valuable brand in the world in 2020. Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Samsung follow.
Coca-Cola is the most valuable non-tech brand (sixth on the list). (Interbrand's complete ranking of the 100 most valuable brands can be found here.)
The global brands with the largest percentage increase in value in 2020 were Amazon (+ 60%), Microsoft (+ 53%), Spotify (+ 52%), Netflix (+ 41%) and Adobe (+ 41%)) .
